January Family Update

This week marks 20 weeks in the pregnancy log.  So far things have been pretty amazing and NOTHING like when I was pregnant with Laila.  I have felt great, no headaches and to date I have not passed out.   Which I will always count as a blessing!  Last pregnancy my blood pressure was extremely low, hypo-tension, and I would range from being lightheaded to passing out completely.  It was not a great situation.  I was pulled from work and couldn’t drive.  It was miserable!

But this time I am so blessed to be feeling great and be able to spend my last solo 9 months with Laila at home.  I am still going to school, which is always a challenge with a 2 year old vying for your attention.  We mark our days painting, coloring and trying to get out of the house a few times a week for activities.  We get to the gym a few times a week to walk and lift light weights.   Laila loves to play with “her friends” at the gym.

We find are having our ultrasound on 1/21/11 and if baby cooperates we will get to find out what we are having!  I am torn; I really want a boy because I think 2 kids in our family would be great.  I also think it would be awesome to have a girl so Laila can have a sister.  Steve thinks it is a boy while Laila and I think it is a girl.

We are also excited to find out what the gender of the baby is so we can start to make some plans regarding living situations.  We have a few options on the table, none of which totally thrill both of us.  We will have to make a decision at some point and this will make it much easier!

There is not much else going on in our world except for Laila, work and school!  Steve’s job is still going well and he really likes it.  He hasn’t traveled for a few months which has been nice.  He does have a few trips coming up though!

  1. Hi Janish Family,
Just happened to check out your site and see that you know whether or not you will be having a boy or another girl come June! Hope that you are still feeling well, Steph! Loving the pictures of Laila. I really think that she looks a lot like Marissa did at the same age! You guys are always welcome to come for another visit. Guess you have checked out how much Peyton has changed by viewing facebook pictures. She is fun to watch and we are so glad that we are close by to see the changes weekly. Love,Sandr

Congratulations on the news of a little boy on the way. Now you can shop the boy aisles too! Those pig/pony tails are adorable and really changes the way Laila looks. So grown up already!
    Love,
    Sandra
