The past few months have been very busy for us. As I am sure you can tell from the lack of posting on our website.  Let me catch you up.  I have posted pictures from Halloween in my previous post, as promised. So we should all be up to date there!

November was an ABSOLUTE blur.  I don’t even know what we did in November to be honest.  I know that it was Steve’s Dad’s birthday and my mom’s birthday.  I know I went to class and that we had Thanksgiving.  Oh!  We celebrated the arrival of Laila’s cousin Autumn Eleanor to the family.  My cousin Jesse and Mel had her a few weeks early and she is already at home doing great! I guess she was just really ready to come!  The day after Thanksgiving we did get out Christmas tree set up along with having our traditional viewing of Elf and drinking hot cocoa.

Steve has been traveling a lot in the past few months. He is currently in LA for a week, returning tonight! We are so excited to have our daddy back.  It is definitely a hard week without him here.  With me staying home I really don’t have an outlet like I did when I went to work.  I am so thankful to my parents for helping out with Laila.  They are really the only people we have that consistently can help me with Laila.  It was a tough week for Steve to be away. I had a dr’s appointment, class and a big math test this week.  So, I did need a lot of help.

Laila is amazing, but what is new.  She is so stinkin’ smart and cute.  She surprises me everyday with the words she uses and her reasoning.  It is hard for me to remember sometimes she is only 2 and not 5.  The best part is when she gets to play with her older friends Monica or Ana.  They are so cute together and it is really hard to remember her age.  At the gym she gets upset at the other kids her age when they won’t talk back to her; like they are being purposely rude to her or something.  We are working on learning that not ALL kids talk like she does and that babies don’t talk at all.  She wants to go to preschool so badly.  We are thinking about starting her next fall but we will decide that when the time comes.  She is definitely ready for something!

I guess the only exciting news we have is that we are expecting another baby!  Due June 7th and hoping (s)he comes a bit early so we can go to my brothers wedding which is June 18th!  I was 4 days late with Laila, so let’s hope that doesn’t happen again.  The doctor actually thinks my due date should be a little later but is leaving it at the 7th because of the wedding. Not that any of that really matters because babies come when they want to come!

We are in the 13th weeks, almost to 14.  The first trimester was a breeze, not a moment of sickness or migraines. It was amazing.  I actually don’t “feel” pregnant at all.  I am sure some of the recently pregnant ladies will hate me for that.  I am not in any illusion that things will remain this way though!    I was, however, very tired for about 8 weeks.  I went to bed when Laila did.    We find out on January 21st if we are having a boy or girl.

That is all I have!  We will just be hanging out for the next few weeks and celebrating the holidays!  Laila is so excited for Christmas this year! 🙂
